Bezra Environmental Awareness Program: |
In the
framework of the strategic objectives of the
Ministry of State for Environmental Affairs, which
increasing the environmental awareness of the
community comes on the list of its priorities, Bezra
System has been established in 2004 under auspices
and subsidy of the Danida funded ESP-CEM component
for developing the environmental awareness among the
children by presenting Bezra, the Ministry Cartoon
character, in an integrated program for presenting
the environmental information in an simplified form.
After Danida project carried out in October 2008,
Bezra Program transferred to the Environmental
Protection Fund for the sustainability.
Target Group
1. Children from the age of 6 to 12 years.
2. People who deals with children (teachers –
parents – Librarians).
3. Environment nurturing for pre-school.
Program Objectives
1. Knowledge and environmental awareness: simplify
the main information about the environment, its
definitions, problems and gaining the environmental
awareness through all the interesting way for the
children.
2. Develop the skills and the talent: gaining the
Skills in order to identify the environmental
problems and find the appropriate solutions for it.
3. Participation and innovative thinking:
Participation at all levels in solving the
environmental problems and motivate its development
and protection.
